Move-in Checklist

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

We'll need you to pay your first month's rent and the security deposit to secure your lease. Confirm these amounts with our team.

Move-in Date & Inspection

We will provide all information about your move-in and the initial inspection at the lease signing.

Utilities

You'll need to place all utilities in your name immediately following the lease signing. Handle this promptly to avoid losing access to your utility accounts.

Move-out Checklist

Notice of Intent to Vacate

Planning to move out of your rental home? You'll need to provide us with written notice of your intent to vacate, in accordance with the terms of your lease.

Property Condition

Before handing in the keys for your rental, you'll need to bring it back to rent-ready condition. Please be sure to take care of the following:

Rental Cleaning

Start by decluttering and packing all your belongings. Once the space is cleared, begin with a thorough dusting of all surfaces, including shelves, countertops, and ceiling fans. Vacuum and mop the floors, paying special attention to corners and baseboards. Clean the windows, mirrors, and glass doors with a suitable cleaner to remove smudges and streaks.

In the kitchen, clean the inside and outside of all appliances, such as the oven, refrigerator, and microwave. Wipe down cabinets, countertops, and sinks, making sure to remove any stains or grime. In the bathrooms, scrub the toilet, shower, bathtub, and sinks, and clean the tiles and grout.

Don’t forget to wipe down light fixtures, switches, and door handles throughout the house. Finally, remove all trash and ensure the outdoor areas, like patios or balconies, are swept and tidy.

Repairs

If any damage has occurred in your home, take the necessary steps to address these damages. This may include patching nail and screw holes, replacing broken glass, or repainting stained walls.

Security Deposit

We will perform a final inspection after you vacate your rental, checking for any damage left behind. If we identify any issues, we will schedule repair visits. The costs for these repairs will be deducted from your deposit and the remainder will be returned to you.

Remember, you cannot use your deposit to cover your final rent payment. Failure to pay your rent will result in adverse credit reporting and legal action.
